A DIY faux pearl garland kit: 20 white soft-foam pearls, 8 cm or 5.5 cm wide, with clear line and a needle to string them.

String them across a wedding arch, down a backdrop, or along the middle of a long reception table. A few strands turn a plain frame into a photo spot guests line up for.

• Soft polyurethane foam. Light enough to hang from an arch or fabric, and nothing cracks or shatters if a strand drops.
• Pearlescent white finish. It catches candlelight and string lights, so it reads beautifully on camera.
• Strand length is up to you. Thread all 20 pearls for one long garland, or split them into shorter drops.
• Use it again and again. Wedding first, then a baby shower, a birthday backdrop, or your Christmas tree.
• Mix the two sizes. Layer 8 cm and 5.5 cm strands for the cascading look in the photos.

How many kits do I need?

One 8 cm kit makes about 5 ft of garland; one 5.5 cm kit makes about 3.5 ft. As a rough guide:

• One draped swag across a 7 ft arch: 2 kits of 8 cm, or 3 kits of 5.5 cm
• A single vertical drop down one side of a 7 ft arch: 2 kits of 8 cm
• A table runner: 1 kit of 8 cm for every 5 ft of table
• A layered arch like the ones in our photos: about 6 kits, mixing both sizes

Colors may vary slightly depending on your screen and lighting. The styled photos show several kits together, plus arches, fabric, flowers and candles that are not included. Keep the pearls away from candles and open flame.

Care

Wipe with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth. Store loose in a box so the beads keep their shape.

How many pearl garland kits do I need for a wedding arch?
For one draped swag across a 7 ft arch, plan on 2 kits of 8 cm pearls. For a full layered look with several strands, plan on about 6 kits and mix both sizes.

Does the garland come assembled?
No. The pearls arrive loose with clear line and a needle, so you can make each strand exactly as long as you need. Stringing one kit takes a few minutes.

Are the pearls heavy? Will they hold on an arch?
They are soft foam, so they are light and easy to tie onto a wooden or metal arch, or onto draping fabric.

Can I use them again after the wedding?
Yes. They don't break or lose their shape, so you can restring them for a baby shower, a birthday, or as a Christmas tree garland.

Can I mix the 8 cm and 5.5 cm pearls?
Yes, and we recommend it. Alternating sizes gives the layered, cascading look you see in our arch photos.
